About this policy
This policy explains how Plandalf Pty Ltd (ABN 34 669 535 059) ("Plandalf", "we", "us") handles personal information. We are based in New South Wales, Australia, and we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
It covers people who visit plandalf.com, people who use the Plandalf app, and the buyers who check out through our customers' checkouts.
Two kinds of information
When you sign up for Plandalf, you are our customer, and we decide how your account information is handled. This policy applies to it in full.
When one of our customers sells through a Plandalf checkout, their buyers' details belong to that business. We hold and process them on the business's behalf, to run their checkout, and the business's own privacy policy tells their buyers how they use them. If you bought something through a Plandalf checkout and have a question about your details, contact the business you bought from first; we will help them answer it.
What we collect
Your account
- Your name, email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text)
- Your business name, website and the settings you choose
- Your Plandalf subscription and billing history. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number
What you build and sell
- Your checkouts, products, prices, coupons, promotions and automations
- The apps you connect, such as Stripe, PayPal or your email platform. Any API tokens or secrets you give us for them are encrypted before they are stored
- Your buyers' details, held for you: name, email address, what they bought, and the order and invoice records. Card and PayPal details stay with Stripe and PayPal
How you use Plandalf
- Which pages and features you use in the app, so we can see what works and fix what does not
- Technical details such as IP address, browser, device and error logs
- Cookies and similar storage that keep you signed in and remember your settings. On plandalf.com we also use analytics to understand which pages are useful
Support chat
- Messages you send us through the chat on our website or in the app, and any images you attach
- An anonymous identifier stored in your browser so we can show you your conversation when you return
- Your email address, if you choose to leave it, so we can reply when you are not on the page
- Replies are written by our team, not generated automatically, and are kept with the conversation
How we use it
- To run Plandalf: your account, your checkouts and the automations you set up
- To bill you for your subscription
- To answer your questions and send you service emails, such as receipts, security notices and changes to your account
- To send product news. You can unsubscribe from these at any time
- To understand how Plandalf is used, fix problems and decide what to build next
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your buyers' details for our own marketing.
Information stored outside Australia
Several of the services above are based overseas, so personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose established providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we keep it safe
Plandalf is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, secrets for connected apps are encrypted, and every account's data is kept separate. Card details never reach our servers. The details are on plandalf.com/security. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. After you close it, we delete or anonymise it within a reasonable time, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records, which Australian tax law generally requires us to keep for five years. Buyer details held for a business are kept until that business deletes them or closes its account.
Your choices and rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it if it is wrong
- Ask us to delete your account and its data
- Unsubscribe from product news at any time
- Clear or block cookies in your browser. Some parts of the app need them to work
To ask, email hello@plandalf.com. We may need to confirm who you are first. If you live outside Australia, the law where you live may give you further rights, and we will honour them where they apply.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email hello@plandalf.com and we will look into it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when how we handle personal information changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we will also tell you by email or in the app.
