Automations feature
Sell it once,
automate the rest
When someone pays, abandons, refunds or takes an upsell, a sequence runs: access, emails, tags and alerts, with the order attached.
No credit card required. No coding required.
How it works
One trigger, then the steps in order
A sequence starts on a checkout event and runs its steps, waiting between them where you ask.
- Trigger
Something happens
A checkout completes, a cart is left, an invoice is refunded.
- Steps
The steps run in order
Email, access, tags, Slack, with delays in between.
- Runs
Every run is on record
See what ran for whom, and re-run one if you need to.
Set it up
From a template or from scratch
Sequences live in Automation. Templates cover the common ones.
- 1
Connect your apps
In Automation, open My apps and connect Kajabi, Teachable, Circle, Kit, Slack or whatever you use.
- 2
Start a sequence
Pick a template, or Create New Sequence and give it a name.
- 3
Choose the trigger
For example Plandalf, then Checkout Completed, then the checkout it should watch.
- 4
Add the steps and turn it on
Add steps, map fields from the order, add delays, then switch the sequence to Active.
- Browse the sequence library →

Questions
Common questions about purchase automations
The short answers. The docs have the long ones.
What can happen after a purchase?
Send emails or the receipt, grant or revoke access in Kajabi, Teachable, Thinkific or Circle, tag in Kit or MailerLite, post to Slack, or call any URL.
What can start a sequence?
Checkout completed, cart abandoned, payment failed, invoice finalized, paid, refunded or voided, upsell created or accepted, or an inbound webhook.
Can I limit a sequence to one checkout?
Yes. Plandalf triggers filter by checkout, and you can link a sequence from the checkout’s Automation tab.
Will my test purchases fire automations?
Only if you turn on Run on test purchases for that sequence.
The team
