Checkouts feature

Coupons that play
by your rules

Percent or fixed, for the whole order or one product, with an expiry, a limit and a minimum. The checkout enforces them for you.

No credit card required. No coding required.

How it works

Checked before the buyer pays

The buyer types the code on the payment screen. The rules are checked before the total changes.

  1. Payment screen

    They enter the code

In the discount code block, without leaving the page.

  2. Order summary

    The total updates

Only if the code is live, under its limit and the order qualifies.

  3. Settings

    Every use is counted

Uses against the limit, and the discount recorded on the invoice.

Set it up

Make a code, then add the field

Coupons live in Settings and work across every checkout you run.

  1. 1

    Create the coupon

In Settings, open Coupons and choose New coupon, or Import existing to bring in your Stripe coupons.

  2. 2

Set the discount and the rules

Percent or amount off, then any expiry date, usage limit and minimum order.

  3. 3

    Choose where it applies

The whole checkout or specific products. Turn off reusable across customers for one use each.

  4. 4

    Add the discount code block

In the checkout editor, drop the Discount Code block onto the payment screen.

Rules

Set the rules once, the checkout enforces them

A code that does not apply is turned away with a reason, before anyone pays.

  • Percent or fixed amount

20% off or $10 off, in the currency you choose.

  • Expiry date

Codes stop working at the time you set.

  • Usage limit

Cap the total number of uses, for a first-hundred offer.

  • Minimum order

The code applies only when the cart is over the amount you set.

  • One use per customer

Turn off reusable across customers and each buyer can redeem it once.

  • Subscriptions too

Discount the first invoice, a set number of billing cycles, or forever.

Integrations

Keep your site. Upgrade how it sells.

Plus a fully documented REST API and webhook layer for whatever’s not in the list.

Questions

Common questions about coupons

The short answers. The docs have the long ones.

What kinds of coupons can I make?

Percent off or a fixed amount off, for the whole checkout or for specific products.

Can coupons expire or run out?

Yes. Set an expiry date, a total usage limit, or both. Expired and used-up codes are turned away at checkout.

Can I stop one customer using a code twice?

Yes. Turn off reusable across customers and each customer can redeem it once.

Do my Stripe coupons carry over?

Yes. Use Import existing on the Coupons page to bring them in.
